German–Korean interpreters

Are you looking for interpreters for Korean in Germany? We provide experienced simultaneous and conference interpreters for Korean–German and Korean–English – for negotiations, conferences, meetings and visits by Korean business partners.

With more than 30 years of experience, we advise you on putting together the interpreting team, organise the equipment on request and make sure the interpreters are thoroughly prepared.

Korean–German and Korean–English

Our interpreters work between Korean and German and also between Korean and English – practical when English is the common language of your international meeting.

Following the native speaker principle, each interpreter works into their mother tongue wherever possible: one person into Korean, another into German.

Typical assignments

  • negotiations with Korean-speaking business partners
  • delegation visits and factory tours
  • conferences, symposia and congresses
  • board and supervisory board meetings
  • video and telephone conferences

For conferences with many participants, we recommend simultaneous interpreters; for talks in small groups, negotiation interpreters.

South Korea and Germany

Germany is South Korea's most important trading partner in Europe, and South Korea is in turn a key partner for Germany in Asia. Both countries are leaders in the automotive industry and mechanical engineering and cooperate in renewable energy, information technology and biotechnology. The Korean community in Germany is one of the oldest Asian communities in the country, with centres in Frankfurt, Berlin and Hamburg.

The Korean language

Korean is the official language of South and North Korea and is spoken by around 80 million people. It is written in Hangul, an alphabet introduced in the 15th century with 14 consonants and 10 vowels that are combined into syllable blocks. As in Japanese, the verb comes at the end of the sentence, and honorific forms play a major role – including in interpreting.

Translator or interpreter?

Many people say "translator" when they mean "interpreter". The difference: interpreters convey the spoken word, translators written texts. You need someone for a meeting, a negotiation or an event in Korean? Then you have come to the right place.
