German–Chinese interpreters
Are you looking for interpreters for Chinese in Germany? We provide experienced conference interpreters for Chinese–German and Chinese–English – for negotiations, conferences, meetings and delegation visits.
With more than 30 years of experience, we advise you on putting together the interpreting team, organise the equipment on request and make sure the interpreters are thoroughly prepared.
Chinese–German and Chinese–English
Our interpreters work between Chinese and German and also between Chinese and English – practical when English is the common language of your international meeting.
Following the native speaker principle, each interpreter works into their mother tongue wherever possible: one person into Chinese, another into German.
Typical assignments
- negotiations with Chinese-speaking business partners
- delegation visits and factory tours
- conferences, symposia and congresses
- board and supervisory board meetings
- video and telephone conferences
For conferences with many participants, we recommend simultaneous interpreters; for talks in small groups, negotiation interpreters.
China and Hamburg
Chinese companies have become increasingly important partners for German businesses. Many use Hamburg not only as a port but also as the seat of their German or European headquarters: more than 500 Chinese companies are represented in Hamburg. China is by far the most important trading partner of the Port of Hamburg, and Hamburg has been twinned with Shanghai since 1986.
The Chinese language
With around 955 million native speakers, Chinese is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. Standard Chinese, known as Mandarin, is the official language of the People's Republic of China and Taiwan and one of four official languages of Singapore. When Chinese is interpreted in Germany, it is usually between German and Mandarin.
Translator or interpreter?
Many people say "translator" when they mean "interpreter". The difference: interpreters convey the spoken word, translators written texts. You need someone for a meeting, a negotiation or an event in Chinese? Then you have come to the right place.
